Welcome to the Duinen room. Here you stand on the border where the Noord-Hollandse polder seamlessly merges into the slope of the dunes. In the vicinity of Groet, Schoorl, and Camperduin, Thijs Sterk found a rich source of inspiration. You see how he transforms the fleeting dynamics of sand, wind, and marram grass into a monumental experience. At times deeply tranquil, with grazing cows beneath an ethereal sky, at other times powerfully constructed from angular planes of color and dark contours. The grazing light plays poetically across the warm gray earth tones and winding roads. Allow yourself to be carried away by this rhythmic interplay of space and serene silence.
